Get the AP Edge at Farmington

Taking AP courses in high school will give you an advantage at Farmington by letting you:

  • Earn college credit. Your AP Exam score will earn you UMF credits before you even set foot on our campus.
  • Earn advanced placement in courses. Your AP Exam score lets you skip some UMF intro courses.
  • Save money. Your AP credits can significantly lower your college costs or even help you graduate sooner.
  • Have time for other things. It can free up time in your college schedule. Maybe choose to double-major, study abroad, do an internship, or focus on extracurriculars like sports, music, student government, writing, theater and more.

AP exams are graded on a five-point scale. If you scored a 3, 4, or 5 on your AP Exam, you will earn UMF class and college credits.

Remember: It’s not enough to take AP classes in high school, you must also take the AP Exam for the classes.
