Admission to UMF is competitive, so many high schoolers apply to UMF through Early Action. It’s a non-binding decision that often removes the stress and uncertainty of waiting to receive a decision from a college.?Applying through Early Action is by November 15.?
“I chose Early Action at UMF and applied by Nov. 15. Since it’s non-binding, I could still apply to other schools. But honestly, when my UMF acceptance letter arrived on December 8th, I felt so relieved to have found my next home. The rest of my senior year was so stress-free.”

Freshman (First-Year student) on-campus residency requirement.
注册就送38可微信提现We want you to get your college career off on the right foot and give you the absolute best opportunity to succeed.
Our research has shown that our most successful students — those who became truly immersed in all we have to offer: academics, extracurricular activities, social life, research, volunteer opportunities, everything — lived on campus their very first year. In fact, on-campus residency has proven to be so valuable to our students’ success, we’ve made it a requirement for all freshmen (which we call “First-Year students”).
Of course, we allow some waivers such as incoming students who plan to reside at home within a 35-mile distance from campus, those 21 or older prior to opening day, transfer students with 24 or more college credits, military veterans, those with a medical hardship or a financial hardship, etc.
Please contact us, below, if you would like to request a waiver of the first-year campus residency requirement.
And for some students, we offer our Be Home at UMF program, which provides FREE on-campus housing your first year.
Our goal is to help make your make your transition to college as smooth and successful as possible. We want you here for the long-haul, to graduate on time and to be as outstanding as we know you can be. We’re in this together.
